I’m sure we’ve all been asked for our postcode and house number when giving our address details.
It’s a quicker and more accurate way of entering an address onto the system and helps confidentiality - some patients do not like to verbally give their full address in a busy waiting room.
With the postcode finder enabled, the steps to use it are very quick and simple.
When editing a patient’s record in the Details tab, type the given postcode into the box provided as normal.
When you press the Magnifying Glass icon to the right of the postcode box, a new option appears below allowing you to select from a list of all the addresses on list for that postcode. Simply choose one from the list and the details will be entered into the relevant address fields.
