You can view the Takings report in the Financial reports section. This is a report that allows you to see the practices takings for a set period.
You can change the period for the takings by changing ‘From’ date and the 'Until’ date.
You can also select to view the takings through payment method. You can do this by selecting 'Method’ and choosing from the options in the drop down menu.
You can also select to view takings by practitioner in the 'Practitioner’ menu.
Both the patients name and the invoice are linked so if you click on them it takes you to the patients account.
You can also see if the payment has been explained, if the payment has a green tick to the right of the amount this means the payment has been assigned to an invoice. If there is a orange question mark this means the payment needs assigning to an invoice.
Underneath all the takings is a breakdown of the payments and the methods used to pay, these are split into the sub headings cash, credit, debit, cheque and BACS. this makes it easy to see what methods are being used to pay as well as making it easy to see at the end of the day how much cash should have been collected for each method. it also gives a total of all takings on the far right at the bottom.
At the top right hand corner of this report there is an export button which lets you export the data from the report into a spreadsheet.
